This intimate 3-day workshop takes place at The Markland Coastal Beach Cottages in Dingwall, NS, on beautiful Cape Breton Island, Oct 19-21, 2018. Over the past 20-years, Randy has produced 30+ assignments for National Geographic magazine, leading to numerous accolades including, most recently, 2017 Photographer of the Year at the Sienna International Photography Awards. He also brings with him 25-years of experience as a lecturer and faculty member with some of the world's most sought after workshops, including Missouri Photo Workshop and Eddie Adams. From image capture, to the selection process and sequencing of multiple images in a specific project, Randy will strive to help you find, and/or strengthen your own photographic voice. Also get a behind-the-scenes insight into how Randy prepares for a story, how he approaches people, and his creative process. Sit down for one-on-one portfolio reviews and receive personalized, constructive input and practice assignments that will help you take your photography to the next level. Workshop topics also include light, colour palette, geometry, layering, serendipity and moment — combining these tools with educational and emotional components that will lead to more meaningful photographs.
